Mauritius - Le Caudan Waterfront

The
Caudan Waterfront is a shopping and leisure area
facing the Port-Louis harbor in Port Louis, Mauritius. It
is one of the most popular leisure and shopping places in
the Mauritian capital due to the many ways through which people can
spend their time. This includes many shops, restaurants, a marina
and a 5 stars hotel (le labourdonais). |

The
presence during the History of the island, of many Britton sailors,
invite to think that the names of “Port-Louis” and “Caudan”
are in direct bond with the Company of the Indies, founded in 1666 in
Lorient in Brittany (France) by Louis XIV, on the territory of the
Port-Louis which deals with Groix island and locks the roads formed
by Scorff and Blavet rivers. The arsenal of the Company of the Indies
extended on the commune of Caudan. |
